The Importance of Mindfulness in Meditation
The idea that we need to escape from the turmoil, I mean, it's understandable. People want a place to be quiet and they see contemplative or meditative practices, mindfulness as something to do that. But in some ways it misses the whole point that all the deeper cultivation traditions are not trying to get away from anxiety. If anything, your life becomes much more intense if you're constantly managing emotions.
