Isaiah is prophesying that the south will be taken into exile. Only a tenth of the people are going to be left in jerusalem and in judea, but the others are goingto be taken to babylon. The symbolism of this is just remarkable. Each one of these seraphim, though, have six wings. One pair covers the feet, one pair covers their eyes, and one pair holds them aloft. And it's both singular and plural at the same time.
