I've thought for a long time that bajing was waging a cold war against us. But i've also believed that americans were not willing or ready yet to sort of accept a acceptte ture of the conflict that we're in. I think that ucrane now makes it blindingly obvious, at least to my mind, that thathat's the paradime th we're in and actually that it's valuable. It's useful to think of it in cold war terms, because it has predictive and explanatory value.
