The Thumb Breaking Scene

Rocky is not interested in fame and fortune really. He just wants like validation. If he got that validation right after the first fight, the whole movie sort of leads. That scene in the script is a three page action sequence on the boat. Where Rocky chases him up on the boat and Rocky chasing him through the bowels of the engines and all this stuff. And then it ends with that dialogue scene about his, you know, don't break my thumb. I think that's an example of like genre imbalance, right? Right.
