In the New Testament, Jesus drives at home even further in Matthew 19 and the parallels and Mark 10 and other places. He quotes 224. Man shall leave his father. I'm going to be joined to his wife and the two will become one flesh. It seems like that affirming both the human equality that these two possess and the differences that they bring to the table is sort of baked into the meaning of 224.
