Editing Is What I Do Versus Editing Is Who I Am
I think it's easy to treat data as fact. And then simply not listen to yourself, whereas I think you internally is the best truth that you can get. It would take a lot of time for me to be able to sit down and cut a Mr. Beast video that was actually good and fit the genre. In the same sense, I feel very comfortable giving Mr. Beast edit off I go. If you give me a Cobra Kai edit, that's a whole new language I'm gonna have to learn. As editors, just as people that do creative work, not just editors, there's a very fine line between editing is what I do versus editing is who I am.
