Metal Gear Solid: The First Time I Played It

Matthew by Walter asks, has anyone ever immediately fallen in love with a franchise long after it came out? I played Pikmin one in the Pikmin four demo and I am hooked. And that prompted me to go track down a PlayStation one and go play Metal Gear Solid for the first time. It wasn't even like the story that got me hooked or anything. It was just like what is this? This looks crazy.
