The Disconnect Between Joseph Smith and the Church
When we're raised in Mormonism, when we convert to Mormonism, we're not taught that Joseph Smith changed the meaning of scripture. We are just simply taught that it has always been this way. And yeah, and that's fine, Richard Bushman. The problem I have with that is that if we're all taughtJoseph was basically constantly changing and editing and adding based on what he's seeing around him, we're going to think about the scriptures very differently.
