The Value of Life Doesn't Prefer Mortality

Shelley cagan: Would anything be worth doing if you were immortal? I think the answer to that is yes. But there's a different question, which is, would it be desirable to live forever? And that's the question i think you've just posed. To give a humdrum everyday analogy, if you offer me a piece of chocolate, i love chocolate. Do you think it's just a difference in temperament that i have from you then? Because i think that the fact that i will die inevitably gives value to things i do.
