The Risk of Copper in Water

There is a 2,000-fold variation in copper content of water before it gets into copper pipes. In the U.S., you can have 0.5 micrograms per liter to 1 milligram per liter. The real risk is that with corrosion of copper pipes, you can have up to 30 milligrams per liter. But basically, you should be very well aware if the water is at any degree of risk.
