The Blind Spots of Immigrants
I'm a mother who immigrated to the United States in the 80s. I realized my mom can't visit with us on Sundays when she comes to visit our home because I don't think people would be welcoming to her. And so I just don't share that and no one ever asked. That's heartbreaking to hear that. Especially when they also preach grace and belonging and being grafted in, it's like but do they really believe it?
