The Worst Economic Crisis in Sri Lanka
This is by far the worst economic crisis that Sri Lanka has been grappling with since the independence we gained it in 1948 from the British. It's like I'll give few anecdotal evidence few months ago we had power cards ranging from 10 to 12 hours a day which means for the most part of the day Sri Lanka didn't have power. This really you know affected the people and then that also turned into a political crisis. People were very unhappy about the fact that the government cannot provide the basic necessities. So at that point the people you know came to streets and they started protesting and it it really went to the point where the president was forced to reside.
