The Implications of Gay Marriage in Europe and Asia

In Taiwan, the legislature passed an amendment that will allow same sex couples to adopt children that they are not biologically related to. Italy just recently elected a very conservative prime minister and one of the new things that she has done is cracking down on allowing gay couples to list themselves as parents in birth certificates. In every story that talks about this as a human rights issue, they're talking about the human rights of the gay people. And also that is a sign of where we are with this discussion. This is not about kids.
