The Importance of Variety in Comedy

In Edinburgh, you're not playing to an audience that's anything other than diverse and varied. You've got a whole load of comedic tastes in there so you can't just play to the same audience again and again and again in preparation. I go all over the place trying it in front, especially with me being a sort of typically metropolitan borderline woke comedian. So we are the Manchester Review and we are taking Manchester Review's lonely hearts sketch club. It's really just a show full of very silly students. And we're using the soundtrack of the Beatles most, probably iconic album to four more sketches - which will be quite funny as their producer.
