i think of myself as someone who is a forgiving person. I certainly believe in forgiveness in the abstract. But i'm really not all that forgiving a person in my real life, at least i'm not forgiving consistently. People have to be willing to say, i too am susceptible to and guilty of all kinds of darkness. That's something that without which you can't have a culture that embraces forgiveness at all. Every single person is fighting the battle between good and evil,. And they're waging it inside themselves all the time. You hope you win the war.
