How to Set Starter Boundaries for Yourself
Think about how you want to feel. How do you know you need to take care of yourself? And what's your best self-care for yourself? Like a boundary maybe, I'm not going to drink more than twice a week on vacation,. A boundary can be staying in a hotel because that person is very stressful to be around 24-7. So boundaries are sometimes challenging for people to express or know. We encourage you to think of them as starter boundaries. It doesn't have to be perfect.
