My uncle served in World War II and came out with a skepticism toward the upper brass. He was convinced by people who were determined to go to war, not only is inevitable, but desirable. They said we're going to kill 130 million Russians, and we'll only lose 30 million Americans. And my uncle was like, you know, are you kidding me? So they made a pretend revolution out of Cuba that still looks at that as a success. We are still paying that price in our relationship with Iran, 70 years later.
