The Effects of Lockdowns in the Global South
In Sierra Leone, a three day lockdown was trialed and doctors without borders warned against it because of lack of trust in the medical authorities. In South Africa, which has far and away the highest COVID death rates on the African continent had one of the continents, most draconian lockdowns. So there are the biometrical implications. The fact there's a different socio sociological environment, social environment, which means that viruses will circulate differently now. That shouldn't be rocket science to scientists. If you have put in a court, a curfew, you're actually forcing people together. And this is a virus which circulates inside more than outside. Most low middle income countries have got warm weather
