Automotive Is the Highest Growth Market for Semiconductors
The biggest product category within the $440 billion that I discussed earlier for semiconductor sales are memory and application-specific logic. Memory is very important because as data continues to grow, we need more storage. Both DRAM and NAN are very high growers. We should expect a big growth of at least 15% per DRAM and at least 30% for NAN for the coming years. If you look at it from an end-market perspective automotive and communications will continue to see the highest growth followed by industrial PCumer.
