The Importance of Dreams

Ramey: You have to subject your dreams to your thoughts. Isn't that what Orthodox psychoanalysis does? I remember hearing an interview with somebody who was a Buddhist meditator who did a lot of dream work. He had nothing but like disgust and aversion to the idea of lucid dreaming because he's like, look, everything in your life is either subjected to your control or belongs to the realm you're trying to assert control over. Ramey: My lucid dreams have always been a hopeless attempt to try to wrestle with the dream.
