Taproot for Bitcoin

Bitcoin is set to activate Taproot, a new feature that will make smart contracts on the chain easier and more compact. The controversial approach was around how to implement it because after in 2017, when we tried to implement Sigmund, it was a huge pain in the ass. They wanted to be sure that there was an activation method to add this to Bitcoin that wouldn't cause a huge stir. It's going to be done via soft fork, which means if you don't upgrade, you still experience Bitcoin as normal.
