Ana, i've learned about universal design for learning is that these kinds of things are good for everyone. It can really be something more universally held that benefits us all. Picked up this phrase from tom tobin, the idea of plus one assessment. What he essentially does is he creates some blank spaces on his syllabus and he invites students to fill those blank spaces with the things that have caught their interest.
