Putin's Approach to History, Dan, Is That Uncomfortable?
I think it's the Second World War clearly looms large in, in Putin's thinking. He did not, uh, has not moved with the rest of the world and, in his attitude to war and his attitude to geopolitics. I think also perhaps, um, you know, he taps into quite heavily the mythology of the legend of the Great Patriotic War. No one serious outside of Russia thinks that this is a justified war so how could the ends ever possibly justify the means?
