Is Hydrocortisone for Stress Dose Steroids?

With doses that high, if I give more than 50 milligrams of hydrocortisone in a day, I'm hitting both their glucocorticoid receptors and their mineralocorticoids. And so we don't have stress dose, fluid recordisone, or anything like that. It's just the hydrocort that we go with. So people who have been kind of borderline or marginal with their adrenal insufficiency and haven't been dose well can actually tip into a adrenal crisis with just minor stressors. But sometimes we really don't find much because it was a pretty mild stressor.
