The White Paper on the Mi'gma Nation

Justin Breake is a journalist based in Ottawa on unceded Algonquin territory. Originally from Newfoundland, which is the unceded territory of the Biauthic and Mi'gma. Growing up he had spent time with his grandparents in Newfoundland doing activities that people associate withMi'gma culture. But it was not clear to me at all growing up. And even when I found out that I had Mi’gma ancestry, anything that I had been exposed to as a child, even as a young adult, had anything to do with my indigenous ancestors.
