VR, Immersion, and More
VR is a really tricky thing because it demos really well to people who've never played video games. It can even feel like the future because it feels more grown up than what your kids are doing on their console or on their phone. I think for a lot of companies that in any case wanted to see interactive entertainment and virtual environments as a next step, VR has acted as a psychological catalyst for them to feel like the tools now exist.
