Nero: Both individuals and companies often prefer to be kept in the dark about unethical practices that are further up the supply chain. It used to be that people once broadcast our social status by being idle, but that idea has been turned on its head in the united states. People who are busy are actually seen to have more social status. i think in part that is because we live in a society that values social mobility.
