The Insect Protein Trend and the Sustain Ability Trend
People are spending more on their pets. Sustain ability is one trend that we really need to be aware of. Several brands have been offering insect base products for pets. We actually use the larvae of the black soldier fly. The larvae are what's called primary compostors. They break down vegetable matter and storing it in their bodies as useful proteins, fat and everything that they need. This is all asort of waste food that would otherwise go uneaten. It can then go back out into the fields to grow more crops. Over the week end i chattered to some dog owners in an east london park to see whether they were splashing cash on their beloved pets.
