Italy and Sweden - What's the Main Difference?
Anti-immigration parties and anti-immigrant politics are now front and center in the governing coalitions. In Sweden however the immigration problem is far less severe than it is in Italy. The island of Lampedusa is only a few miles from Libya and that's become a major immigration route. Under EU law the state in which an immigrant arrives is responsible for their ultimate disposition.
