The government is talking about having to restructure the tax system. The Treasurer Jim Chalmers is looking at things like the National Disability Insurance Scheme and pointing out what they call a structural deficit in the economy. It sounds like this budget is taking a fairly broad approach trying to invest in things like the environment and in housing without spending too much given the state of the global economy.
