In jewish festivals or celebrations of this event, every time the name haman or haman is mentioned in the text, everyone boos and hisses. There's even aa an equivalent of tricker treating, because much of of purim has to do with giving. It might also represent the fact that that esther had to conceal her true identity as she first approached the king and entered the palace,. The fact that he didn't know, no one knew, that she was jewish. Sohance a need for costumes as well.
