Over Generalization Is a Buddhist Thing
All or nothing thinking and over generalization is when you generalize to yourself from some specific event. You see it as evidence that you're somehow defective or not good enough. There's something wrong with me as if you had a self that wasn't good enough. And then people also say, I'll be alone forever. I'm unlovable. This is always happening to me. It's one of the worst forms of human suffering but there are fantastic techniques cognitive therapy techniques that we've been talking about for overcoming these distorted thoughts.
