Higher reps are inherently more fatiguing than lower reps, which was always surprising to me because like you said, acutely, I could see that. And again, it's also important to point out that it also would be exercise dependent. The type of fatigue that you're going to experience throughout with the metabolic acidosis that's building up through the circulatory system would be different if you're just doing leg extensions. So anyway, we're looking at it from a technical standpoint, mechanical stress is more technically sound term but the term mechanical tension is used throughout the literature.
