The Importance of Ukraine in NATO
If you asked British defense officials or politicians two years ago whether they would make the investment that they've made in financial terms and expenditures to destroy the Russian military, they all would have lined up to do it. And so I'm not sure that gratitude to them or to us is the right framework. But part of their interests are this is a really good deal for everybody concerned. Of course, and it's something about 5% of US military spending and to spend 5% of your military budget todestroy the Russian military's capacity and capability to wage war long in the future. That's a pretty good deal.
