The chapter explores how Venn shifted his interests from logic and probability theory to non-mathematical works in the late 1880s, including his publication of Principles of Empirical or Inductive Logic and his project on the Biographical History of Gonville and Caius College.
John Venn created the Venn diagram, and though he’s an important figure in the fields of mathematics and logic, he eventually left that work behind to write historical accounts of the places and people that were important in his life.
