Nuclear Disasters in Japan, Turkey, and the United States

Lawyers have filed an appeal to the Supreme Court of Japan against a not guilty verdict for three former executives over the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster. There had been no reports of damage to the Akuyu nuclear power plant after two large earthquakes struck Turkey earlier this week. Russia is importing workers from the Kalanin nuclear plant, located 200 kilometers or 120 miles northwest of Moscow, to Zapparisha in Ukraine where there are six nuclear reactors.
