The Disgruntled Public in South Korea and Japan

South Korea was removed from what was called the so-called whitelist, states that were seen as good, reliable security partners. It's taken President Yun to move beyond that through this negotiated settlement. What we're seeing is an important set of agreements to strengthen security and economic cooperation. But despite all of this elite-level coordination, the sense of disgruntled on the part of the public in both countries remains very intense.
