How to Watermark AI Generated Text

The idea is that we can make very subtle changes to the patterns that a language model uses in its speech. And those patterns can be detected in such a way that with a relatively short span of texts, usually say a few dozen tokens, you can oftentimes detect with very, very high confidence. So both a low false positive rate and a very high sensitivity, you can often detect AI generated text if it is watermark.
