The Origins of the Megalithic Culture
The megalithic culture was very much concerned with the winter solstice. It may have existed earlier in some kind of hunter-gatherer cult, but for the reasons I've already said, I don't think that's very likely. So we can make quite a reasonable assumption that there's some kind of idea that the death of the sun is related to the death of humans or some there's some connection there,. But we can't say anything more.
