The very name israel means one who struggles against god. Their very am refers to the fact that they are capable of pushing back against him. God, for all eternity alone in the universe, every molecule of the universe racing to fulfil his whims as soon as he formed them. One day there's this creature that looks him in the eye in a way that's different from all the other animals,. In a way that causes god to realize that there's some one home.
