The Trend to Move Away From Digital Filters
In terms of why people are moving away from nylon or silica, I'm not sure. Some organizations would call nylon a microplastic and they even will call silica a microplastics. But once something like that gets out into the zeitgeist of a population, then surprisingly, or not surprising to me, but surprising to consumers,. When an ingredient gets a bad reputation, the beauty industry tends to move away from it if it's easy to do. And so now you're getting contamination problems, even though you're removing ingredients that were perfectly fine.
