Are Antidepressants Really Effective?

CNN's John Sutter responds to a recent piece on the effectiveness of antidepressants. He says research doesn't show drugs aren't effective, but they only rule out one possible way drug might work. "I've interpreted this entire study as an if then statement," he writes. The author concludes that 85% of all depressive episodes resolve themselves within 12 months.
