Dr Anda Newburg carried out a brain scan on a group of franciscan nuns. After the study was published, an atheist society thanked him for his work. He said it proved that god is nothing more than a manifestation of your brain's function. But he says we can't truly answer metaphysical questions just by doing a brain scan.
