The Influence Matrix: Humans and the Role of Relationship in the Social Environment
The influence matrix says this that humans, other animals have all of these different social needs. What we develop is a relationship system that monitors and integrates self-other relationships. It combines an underlying attachment system with a cooperative competitive system into then an integrated self-other regulation system. And what it says is that we because we're constantly involved in these role dances that are very, very intimate, complex, constantly shifting is that we integrated them to create essentially a mapping field space.
