Learning to Stand Up in a Lesson
Ean had difficulty paying attention in the limited ways that we expected of him. He was able to better attend to lessons by standing and just, you know, shifting weight side to side. His body felt more attentive when his brain got the focus juice from moving. Alia's chill approach meant she often blended in so very well that her struggles stayed well hidden. She did about a third of her workin class, and she never really met academic ch marks like her peers. But she was so sweet and good at playing school that she was socially promoted grade to grade.
