H henry stopped attending school, trading his text books for pulp fiction. Always a reader, henry devoured lurid crime theme dime novels. He continued his self education at the local saloons, playing cards whenever he could. There no one cared how young he was. In july of 18 75, henry was earning enough to move out of the truesdale home. He took up lodging in a silver city boarding house.
