The Differences Between China's and Russia's Media Narratives
There is an awareness, but really I think you've got to look at the staff who work there. A lot of them had never been abroad, they hadn't had that wider scope of... And yeah, so we had a shorthand. So I would hand pieces back that I would feel would be overly propaganda and wouldn't be swallowed by the wider world. But in my experience kind of experienced and critical minded Xinhua are the state media journalists. They know very well the nature of the game that they're in. Very useful.
