The words of eternal life were a key verse for Lisa Fields when she was considering deconstructing the New Testament. We're not comparing following Jesus to an equally compelling worldview that is, you know, doesn't have any of these challenges. The alternatives are either sort of parasitical and Christianity and lack the firm foundation of the scriptures or ultimately nihilistic.
