Don't Compare Yourself

Every generation of black people in this country experiences a whole new world because laws have changed, access has changed. So the best we can do is dream and to do our best to make those dreams a reality so the next generation can dream even bigger. I feel like that's my only responsibility to dream and try. My nieces and nephews dream and try for the next layer. Because of that, it helps me to not compare myself with other people. Even if I try to compare myself to my parents, their lives were completely different. There's really no point if you're not enjoying the experience, shut it down and do something else.
