The enduring fact of death is still at the core of human life, he says. As technology separates us from those things, we lose some of those necessities, and we lyunal. Things like virginity become less necessary, because we can tell whose, whose child iswhose. But aros and tonatos, sex and death, are the things that life is about. And i think that our world, we're so protected by technology that we forget it - but it doesn't cease to be true.
